Meet the Ashburton indoor bowls team, which beat rivals North Canterbury in what Ashburton Indoor Bowls Association secretary Rowena Mackenzie called a “runaway win.” In July, Ashburton hosts the New Zealand Indoor Bowls Tournament, which will see teams from all over the country travel to Mid Canterbury to compete for national glory.
