The search is still going on for a Methven grandmother, Gaynor Fleet, who was reported missing on Wednesday.
A police spokesperson said on Friday night her car was found near Dorie Beach.
“Extensive searches have been conducted in the area surrounding, but unfortunately no sign of Gaynor.
Volunteer LandSAR teams from Methven and Rakaia were involved in the search over the weekend.
“There will be some further searches this week, but not likely as extensive.”
“We would reiterate the appeal for anyone with information as to her whereabouts to get in touch with us,” police said.
