Kerb and channel around the corner of Racecourse Road and Farm Road was incorrectly installed by the developer.

Ashburton District Council infrastructure and open spaces group manager Neil McCann said the kerb was constructed about a month ago, as part of the development works.

“There was an error in the design which meant the kerb was too low to fit in with the road.

“The developer is responsible for reinstating the kerb to the correct level, so there will be no impact on the ratepayers of Ashburton.”
