A 38-year-old Netherby man has admitted two charges of stealing donation boxes and one charge of driving while forbidden.

Shane Alex Graham appeared by video link from prison.

He admitted stealing a donation box with a value of about $700 from Hotel Ashburton on July 8.

A few days later he took another donation box, worth about $100, from Harvey’s Bakehouse.

The court was told that Graham had earlier admitted driving while forbidden and stealing a travel cup and drink sachets worth $55.60 from Macpac in Ashburton.

Graham was remanded in custody and will appear for sentencing on all charges on September 4.
