It was a jam-packed night for Mid Canterbury Netball’s ACL Premier competition teams last week.

Celtic Auric Electrical A and Mt Somers Victory Lime A continue to be hard to beat after both picked up two wins in the second double-header week.

Celtic continued their unbeaten season in ACL Premier 1, beating College A 64 - 41 in their Tuesday night clash, before downing College B 75 - 37 in their Thursday night game.

Mt Somers Victory Lime started their week off with a 52 - 41 win over College B, before a 49 - 34 win over Hampstead Ray White A on Thursday night.

The other wins in ACL Premier 1 went to Hampstead Ray White A, who beat Methven Wareings 54 - 43, and College A, who also beat Methven Wareings, 65 - 58.

In ACL Premier 2, Brady’s Painting Allenton A continued their good form after being relegated from ACL Premier 1 at the end of round one, beating Methven EuroAgri 34 - 20, and then Rakaia ProShear 35 - 30.

The other team to pick up two wins last week in ACL Premier 2 was Southern Canterbury Chiropractic, who beat Celtic Morrison Agri B 30 - 25, and Methven EuroAgri 34 - 26.

Meanwhile, Hampstead Ray White B bounced back from a 46 - 24 loss to Rakaia ProShear on Tuesday, to beat Celtic Morrison Agri B 40 - 25 on Thursday.

The surprise package of ACL Premier 3, meanwhile, has been College Senior Reserve, who’ve won three games from three outings so far in round two.

After beating the top team from round one, Rakaia Seed Cleaning to start round two, they then began the double header week with a 21 - 18 win over United KFC A, and Allenton B 43 - 23.

However, the young Allenton B side won’t have been too disappointed with that scoreline given it was one of their better performances of the season so far, showing how far they’ve come, even in a couple of days after going down 37 - 10 to Rakaia Seed Cleaning two days prior.

The other two results of the week saw Hampstead Ray White U18 Development beat Methven Shearmac 20 - 15, before losing to Rakaia Seed Cleaning 28 - 25.

This week’s draw in ACL Premier 1 sees Hampstead Ray White A and College B start the night off, before Methven Wareings take on Celtic Auric Electrical A, with Mt Somers Victory Lime A and College A finishing the night off.

In ACL Premier 2, Rakaia ProShear and Methven EuroAgri will kick off the night, followed by Hampstead Ray White B and Southern Canterbury Chiropractic, and Brady’s Painting Allenton A and Celtic Morrison Agri B.

ACL Premier 3 sees Hampstead Ray White U18 Development and Allenton B play in game one, followed by United KFC A and Rakaia Seed Cleaning in game two, followed by College Senior Reserve and Methven Shearmac.
